Mass Elite Joins BIGFOOT XL

Mass Elite Director of Basketball Operations and Program Development Tyler Strange, announced Mass Elite top 10th and 11th grade teams would be participating this Summer on the Bigfoot Hoops XL circuit, an invite-only circuit based in Texas, for top High School Boys prospects from all throughout the country. Mass Elite is the only New England program participating in this exclusive circuit, the 1st event will be taking place April 21st-23rd in Houston Texas.

Speaking on this exciting announcement, Program Director Tyler Strange stated “We are very excited about this tremendous opportunity to compete in BigFoot XL events. This will be huge for the value of Mass Elite and an opportunity for our players to be seen by more Colleges and Universities all throughout the country”. Strange added “as we continue to take Mass Elite to the next level, this is a giant step forward to be the 1st Massachusetts based program to be participating on the Bigfoot Hoops XL circuit”.

Coach Strange joined Mass Elite as Director of Basketball Operations and Program Development last June. Previously, Coach Strange was a four-year member of the Gardner-Webb men’s basketball program as a student-athlete from 2011-15. As a student-athlete, Strange was a four-year starter and point guard for Gardner-Webb, holding program records as the Runnin’ Bulldogs’ all-time leader in assists (651) – which also ranks second all-time in Big South history – and steals (207).

Mass Elite Basketball is kicking off its 14th consecutive Spring season. Tryouts for Non-Varsity players will begin this January. Over the past 14 years, Mass Elite Basketball has helped place 125+ student-athletes at the collegiate level at the D1, D2 and D3 levels.
